Design styles

Ten languages a room can speak

Most clients arrive with a mood board pulled from three different styles. That is fine — the job of the first design meeting is turning that into one coherent direction.

Each style below lists the palette and signature materials we would specify for it, plus the kind of property it suits best.

Modern interior style example01

Apartments and new-build homes

Modern

Clean lines, honest materials, nothing surplus.

Flat-front joinery, unbroken horizontals and a restrained palette. Modern interiors read calm because ornament is stripped back and proportion does the work instead.

Signature materials

  • Matte laminate
  • Engineered wood
  • Powder-coated steel
  • Quartz
Contemporary interior style example02

Family homes and premium apartments

Contemporary

Current, warm and quietly textured.

Softer than strict modern — curved edges, layered neutrals and tactile finishes like fluted wood and bouclé. The most requested style, because it photographs well and lives comfortably.

Palette

Signature materials

  • Fluted oak
  • Bouclé textile
  • Brushed brass
  • Micro-cement
Minimalist interior style example03

Compact flats and studio apartments

Minimalist

Storage everywhere, visible clutter nowhere.

Handleless joinery, concealed storage and a near-monochrome palette. Minimalism only works when the storage plan is exhaustive, so this style is engineered before it is decorated.

Signature materials

  • Handleless ply
  • Matte glass
  • Terrazzo
  • Linen
Luxury interior style example04

Villas, penthouses and duplexes

Luxury

Marble, brass and light used as material.

Book-matched stone, PU-finished joinery, brass inlay and layered lighting. Every junction is detailed, because at this level the finish quality is the design.

Signature materials

  • Statuario marble
  • Antique brass
  • Walnut veneer
  • Velvet
Scandinavian interior style example05

Compact homes and clinics

Scandinavian

Pale wood, white walls and a lot of daylight.

Birch and ash against off-white, with an emphasis on natural light and uncluttered surfaces. Practical, warm and forgiving of small footprints.

Signature materials

  • Birch ply
  • Ash veneer
  • Wool
  • Ceramic
Industrial interior style example06

Cafés, studios and loft apartments

Industrial

Exposed services, raw surfaces, warm light.

Micro-cement, exposed brick, black steel and visible conduit — softened with timber and warm 2700K lighting so it reads characterful rather than unfinished.

Palette

Signature materials

  • Micro-cement
  • Exposed brick
  • Black steel
  • Reclaimed timber
Traditional interior style example07

Heritage homes and formal residences

Traditional

Carved detail, deep timber, formal proportion.

Solid wood, panelled walls, moulding and classical symmetry. Built with traditional joinery detail but modern hardware and finishes behind the scenes.

Palette

Signature materials

  • Solid teak
  • Wainscot panelling
  • Antique brass

Modern Indian interior style example08

Family homes wanting cultural warmth

Modern Indian

Craft and colour inside a contemporary frame.

Jaali screens, handblock tile, brass and handloom textile — placed within a clean modern plan so the craft reads as deliberate rather than decorative.

Palette

Signature materials

  • Teak jaali
  • Handmade tile
  • Brass
  • Handloom cotton
Classic interior style example09

Long-term family homes

Classic

Timeless proportion that will not date.

Restrained ornament, cornice detail and a soft neutral palette. Designed to look correct in twenty years rather than striking for two.

Signature materials

  • Painted MDF
  • Cornice moulding

Bohemian interior style example10

Creative homes and rental transformations

Bohemian

Layered pattern, plants and collected pieces.

Rattan, terracotta, mixed textiles and greenery, held together by a consistent warm base so the layering feels curated instead of chaotic.
